New London Real Estate

New London is located in Merrimack County, New Hampshire.  It is situated 49 miles from Manchester, and 99 miles from Boston.  It includes the villages of Pleasant Lake and Elkins.  New London is home to Colby-Sawyer College.

New London was first granted as Heidelberg in 1753 and then again as Alexandria Addition in 1773.  It was incorporated as Londonderry and then shortened to New London in 1779. 

New London is surrounded by lakes and offers beautiful mountain views.  It is also near Lake Sunapee and Lake Sunapee.  The town is a popular vacation destination during the summer months.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, New London was home to 4,116 residents.  This included 1,574 households and 1,051 families.  The average family size was 2.63 and the average household size was 2.16.
